Applying for Accreditation
Information for Course Directors and Conference Planners
The OCE has an experienced staff to guide you through the planning process to ensure that all accreditation expectations are met and your event is successful. Please contact the Office of Continuing Education (OCE) early in the planning process.
We offer the following accreditations:
- Physician – AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM)
- Nursing – American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Pharmacy – Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
It is important to ensure compliance with accreditation standards as well as UAMS policies. Therefore, please contact us as early in the planning process as possible. Planning documents received 31-45 days before the activity will incur a rush fee to facilitate an expedited approval process. Planning documents received 30 or fewer days before the activity will not be reviewed. Credits cannot be awarded for activities that have already occurred.

Please note: Promotional materials may not be printed or disseminated without OCE approval. If required statements are not used or contain errors and prior approval was not obtained, reprinting and dissemination of corrected materials will be necessary.

Please note: Commercial Support must be carefully documented. It must also be acknowledged properly to the participants.
