Joint Accreditation logo

The UAMS Office of Continuing Education has been reviewed by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education™ and awarded accreditation with commendation as a provider of interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) by and for the healthcare team. Joint Accreditation ensures that continuing education for healthcare teams serves the needs of patients and the public, and is designed to be independent, free from commercial bias, based on valid content, relevant, and effective in improving the quality and safety of care delivered by the team.

As a Jointly Accredited Provider with commendation, OCE currently offers accreditation for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of PAs (AAPA), the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), and the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) .

We work with UAMS departments and health-related organizations, medical associations or societies, and other organizations to jointly provide accredited activities. We also provide meeting planning services. Visit our Accreditation Services page to find out how to apply for accreditation for your activity.
